A Zambian woman, 32, allegedly suffered a heart attack and died during a sexual act with a man on Saturday evening in Okuryangava.
The incident happened at the woman’s (name withheld) rented shack after the two met at a drinking place in the area.
According to the 54-year-old man who prefers anonymity the two knew each other from the area, although they had never been intimate.
“She approached me that we sleep together and I agreed,” remarked the man, adding that the woman asked for N$50 payment but because he did not have change he offered her N$100.
The man said that when they left the drinking place the woman seemed fine but claims the doctor told him the woman experienced a heart attack while they were intimate and she died.
“I am shocked. I am asking myself why did this have to happen. What if her family come and ask me questions if they don’t understand the doctor’s explanation – that she had heart problems?” said the man who has travelled to the north because his sister was involved in an accident.
Nampol spokesperson Deputy Commissioner Edwin Kanguatjivi confirmed the incident and said it was the man who reported the matter to the Wanaheda police.
Nampol Khomas Region crime investigation coordinator Deputy Commissioner Silvanus Nghishidimbwa told New Era they learnt about the incident but no case was opened.
“Up to now we did not establish any crime committed. But if proven otherwise the right procedures will be followed,” stated Nghishidimbwa.
He added that the woman’s body has been taken to the mortuary and they are waiting for the outcome from the post-mortem.
