The organising committee of the first Rundu Trade Fair has arranged a gala dinner this Friday to raise funds for the fair, while the mayor of Rundu, Verna Sinimbo, has urged residents to support the event.
The mayor appealed to businesses and individuals for support in different ways – not only in monetary terms but also by sharing ideas.
“We humbly request that you support the event by giving input, participating as exhibitors and sponsoring the event’s organization. Our doors are open to your ideas to make it very successful, don’t sit on good ideas,” Sinimbo said.
The gala dinner planned for Friday will be held at the Kavango Convention Centre, which is also known as the Rundu Multipurpose Trade Centre.
“The Rundu Trade Fair will be held from the 1st to the 5th of November and founding father Dr Sam Nujoma will be the patron. He won’t attend the gala dinner but will be at the opening of the event, which is to be held under the theme – ‘Embracing and promoting our cultural diversity towards socio-economic development’,” the mayor said.
