Query: What is the correct way of displaying and hanging the President’s portraits in Government Offices and public buildings?
Response: Cabinet Committee on Overall Policy and Priorities (CCOPP) directed on 19 April 2016 that all the portraits of the serving President and former Presidents should be displayed together. The serving President should be displayed above the former Presidents who will be displayed on the left hand side of the serving President in sequential order. Furthermore, the portraits of the serving President and former Presidents should be displayed at designated areas at State House, boardrooms of all government offices, ministries and agencies, school staffrooms and libraries and Regional Council Offices.
All government offices, ministries and agencies and the general public are hereby advised to obtain authentic portraits of the Serving President and the Former Presidents from the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology offices countrywide. The official portraits do not have the AU and National flags or any other features in the background.
