A female South African national made her first appearance in the Keetmanshoop Magistrate’s Court for possession of cocaine valued at N$762 500.
Appearing yesterday, the suspect was not asked to plead after her rights were explained to her and she opted to use the services of a private lawyer.
Although Nampol could not provide more details on the case, it is alleged the suspect, identified as Linda Oguejiofor, 35, was arrested last Friday at Engen service station after she was found with 1 525 kilogrammes of cocaine.
The suspect, who is married, remains in police custody after she was denied bail and her case was postponed to November 7 for further police investigation and for lab results to be made available to the court.
