The Bank Windhoek Coastal Fistball Indoor Classic promises fireworks when the tourney gets underway in Swakopmund on Saturday.
This will be the only indoor fistball tourney for the season and will be staged at the Swakopmund fistball club indoor court, with the opening match slated to kick off at 10h00.
Interesting matches are expected and with SFC the only team practising on an indoor court, the hosts will be hoping to be strong enough to claim the title.
Last year, SKW 1 won against SFC in the final. By winning the title year after year SKW has proven that they are a tough team to beat in indoor court matches and will be determined to retain the trophy. Another favourite is the Cohen 1 team from CFC.
After winning the opening tourney and showing strong performance in the league as well as being on top of the log standings, one has to see how Cohen 1 will cope after losing one of their spikers Tristan Minz, who left for Germany to further his studies.
Since the competition will played on the indoor court, the rules have been slightly adjusted. The tourney will be played on a round robin basis, with the team placed first after the round robin matches set to face the 4th placed while the runner-up plays against the 3rd placed in a semi-final.
