Governor of Oshikoto Region Hennock Kankoshi will be holding a meeting in mid-May, where he aims to inform the nation about development projects undertaken during the past financial year, as well unveil some of the capital projects to be undertaken this year.
Kankoshi said this is per the directives of President Hage Geingob’s Harambee Prosperity Plan in terms of the performance agreements and accountability that ministers, deputies and governors are obliged to adhere to, as their goals are defined in line with the expectations of a high performance administration.
“My address will include achievements and capital projects undertaken by all ministries in the region towards development and growth, further highlighting projects that are still not completed and shed light as to why, as well as other projects that we will undertake which the community can expect, such as mobile networks, rural water and electrification,” Kankoshi said.
The construction of gravel roads, drilling of boreholes and construction of schools in rural areas were indicated, as notable achievements. Kankoshi further said: “I would like to urge the people of the region to cooperate and unify, so we can work together in unity for the wellbeing of the region and nation at large.”
