Standard Bank unveils new value bundle

Standard Bank today unveiled its new ‘Achiever Banking Value Bundle’. The bank undertook a journey to revamp its Achiever Account offering iso as to keep abreast of the ever-changing requirements of its customers. At N$99 per month the Achiever Banking Value Bundle is packaged so that it meets the needs outlined by customers in one offering.

As part of the new bundled option, Achiever Banking customers enjoy unlimited electronic transactions per month, including debit card purchases, inter-account transfers, electronic payments, MyUpdates, Alert E-mails and SMS payment confirmations (received by the beneficiary), as well as three free ATM withdrawals per month, among others.

Also included in the bundle is an AchieverSave Account to promote a culture of saving and to protect customers and their families. The bank included funeral cover to the value of N$10 000, physical impairment cover up to N$57 000 (3 x gross monthly salary) and death cover up to N$57 000 (3 x gross monthly salary).

Standard Bank’s head of personal market segments, Rejoice Itembu, says: “Considering that more and more customers would like to do their banking from the palm of their hands, we have now fully availed Smart Device Financing to the Achiever Account offering. With this financing our Achiever customer will be able to apply for a facility that finances a smart phone or tablet, from which their lifestyle and banking convenience can further be enhanced.”

Other features include a Standard Bank Silver Debt Card, enhanced with an EMV chip as an added security feature and one that allows customers to make effortless online purchases. The new debit card will be available at the end of May 2016.

The launch  concluded with a number of Achiever Banking customers expressing appreciation for the latest product. “It’s an amazing product for us, because it shows that Standard Bank really cares for us,” says Nicklaus Tjamburo. “I really love the value adds, like funeral and insurance cover,” says Pieter van Rensburg. “It’s great to see that Standard Bank is giving us real value for our money,” said Anastasia Hess.

The Achiever Banking Value Bundle is available to customers earning a gross monthly income between N$7 000 to N$19 999.
