Interpol secretary general Jürgen Stock will join Namibians in celebrating the country’s 26 Independence anniversary on 21 March.
A statement availed to the media indicates a number of events lined up. The event will take place at the Namibian Police Force airport hangar on Sunday at 12h00 after Stock’s address to members of the Women and Men Network against Crime at the same venue, the statement states.
On Sunday night the secretary general will have dinner with members of the oolice at Nyama Restaurant at Windhoek Show Grounds.
Interpol is the world’s largest international police organisation, with 190 member countries.
It’s “role is to enable police around the world to work together to make the world a safer place. Our high-tech infrastructure of technical and operational support helps meet the growing challenges of fighting crime in the 21st century,” the Interpol website further states.
