Tonight the Hilton Kalabar resumes its NAMJAMS series featuring Floritha with a three piece band. The series involves live musicians with an upbeat program. The first note is being struck at 19h00 and the show ends at 21h30. No entrance fees are charged.
Meanwhile next Thursday the hotel unquenchable thirst for entertainment excellence reaches another height when live Jazz music patronises the Kalabar as a sequel and transformation of the habitual Thursday night extravaganza, Jazz Etcetera. The Hilton Divine Sushi & Wine Bar extension of the Kalabar serves as the main outlet. The current regular live music presentations at the Kalabar on Thursday evenings (Jazz Etcetera) are being integrated into the event. Various oyster treats and drink combinations, courtesy of the Hilton Chef and his team will be offered for sale to patrons wishing to explore this ‘gem’ of the Namibian coastal waters more. JTS Trading is a company specializing on the supply to end-users of high quality oysters originating from the Namibian coastal near Luderitz. The company was established in 2015 and comprises of young and innovative entrepreneurs and is 100% female driven. Thus Jiving Oyster is an exciting new event on the Windhoek monthly culinary entertainment calendar:
The theme for this first Jiving Oyster event is ‘FAB’ – inviting patrons to bring forth the best of what they may to offer in fashion and style. This may be the first opportunity to parade that fabulous new outfit received or acquired during the festive season . The music accompanying the launch will be presented by Floritha, the voice of the South. Whilst the ‘Jiving Oyster’ starts at 18h00 sharp – with MUMM champagne reigning on the beverages menu, the music only ‘kicks in’ from 19h00 – allowing the taste buds to take center stage over the first hour.
