Bampton wins Miss Buchter Meisie Pageant



Sixteen-year-old Praylon Bampton recently walked away with the Miss Buchter Meisie beauty crown at Lüderitz while Luella Engelbrecht, 18, was crowned the first princess and Cassandra Louw, also 18, was the second princess.
Bampton was crowned Miss Buchter at the first ever Lüderitz

Liggies Festival, a youth edutainment initiative that included sports, arts and culture. The organisers of the event described it as a runaway success.

“I never thought I would make it with my short height, but I made it through with my perseverance and dedication to modeling. Even though you are short, you can still make it so never give up on your dreams,” enthused Bampton.
The three winners received gifts, which were sponsored by OK Grocer and the Portuguese Market. The event concluded with a soccer tournament.
