The Namibia Institute of Public Administration and Management (NIPAM) has dismissed its executive director, Professor Joseph Diescho, chairperson of the NIPAM governing council George Simataa confirmed this morning.
Simataa was scheduled to announce Diescho’s sacking at a press conference this morning, but journalists were told upon arrival that the briefing has been cancelled. Instead Simataa held a one-hour meeting with theNIPAM staff to explain the governing council’s drastic decision to terminate its association with Diescho.
Simataa told New Era that another press conference would be convened to formally announce the decision to dismiss Diescho, but could not confirm the date. NIPAM is expected to explain the reasons for the dismissal of its head at that press conference.
