Soukos/Kwaito artist, Erastus Josef, known by his stage name of Waka, has released his second album titled Thanksgiving for his fan to enjoy this festival season.
Thanksgiving consists of sixteen tracks such as Let it go, Iileni featuring Newturn, Shikapute featuring Tulisan, Ove featuring Young T and his favorite Oshike. He says Oshike is his favorite because it talks about how people have changed from being close as siblings to ultimate enemies. “I wrote that song as I witnessed it happening and frankly I think it’s wrong. Relationships should be maintained especially good ones, we need to learn to eliminate jealousy, hate and unforgiving and live together as one,” notes Waka.
He named his album Thanksgiving because December is known as a thanksgiving month. “I don’t have anything better to give to my fans, friends and family as a gift for thanksgiving than a beautiful album, which I am quite sure that they are going to like,” he says. Thanksgiving is much more matured on lyrical content compared to his previous album. “I will say I’m much more myself on this album than the previous one. In my first album I didn’t know what people were expecting from me since I was still new in the game, but Thanksgiving will wow my music lovers,” he says.
The album is available in Windhoek at Antonio’s arts at Wernhil Park or at Galaxy Printing opposite the Shoprite taxi rank in the city. In the north people can find it at Galaxy Printing in Ongwediva at Oshilemba Properties opposite the Universal Church. More distribution outlets will be notified in due time.
