“Respect my Hustle” runs away with most local brands awards

One of the popular local brands, Respect my Hustle, dominated the local brands awards with four awards last weekend, including Most Popular Brand of the Year, Most Charitable and Brand Owner awards.
The Local Brand Fashion Show and Annual Awards took place at the Khomas Regional Council and attracted the attention of leading brands, supporters, sponsors all of whom witnessed the glamorous event. The “Okamannetti” won the Most Popular Brand on Social Media category. The Brand with Motivation went to, ‘Try harder-Never give up’; Popular Sports Brand went to ‘6mo9’ while as ‘Good vibe’ took the Best Newcomer category with the Most Creative Brand coveted by Roberto. Two brand owners ‘Current situation’ and ‘Sobisooo’ shared the title of Best Seller.

More than 30 local brands showcased notable trademarks consisting of shirts, tops, pants, dresses and other designs made by and for Namibians. Models who exhibited the different brands were honoured with certificates and cash vouchers worth N$250 each. There were also musical performances by the Ma/gaisa queen, Female Donkey, and Dancehall and Afro Pop duo, 2ko and Koxa.  Incredible local dance groups, Ama Black Duckie, and killer Stars, were top highlights on the entertainment side, leaving many in amazement and admiration. The dancers made sure that the audience were pleased.

The organisers of the event from Team Shako, Edgar Matthews and Naftali Nghishekwa, hailed the event as a success and hoping for bigger and better one next year.
