A 45-year-old man was stabbed to death at a cattle post at Ohaihai village in the Ruacana Constituency.
The police spokesperson for Omusati Region, Sergeant Anna Kunga, said the incident occurred on Tuesday at an unknown time.
Kunga said a case of murder was opened with the police, however no arrest was made by yesterday morning.
“Investigations are still ongoing, but the police are hard at work,” said Kunga.
According to Kunga, Nestor Joseph was stabbed in the lower left rib by a co-housemate at the cattle post.
“As a result, he sustained serious injuries and died on the spot,” related Kunga.
Joseph hailed from Omutaku waKayupa in Okalongo Constituency.
It is alleged the two had an argument prior to the stabbing.
Kunga is appealing to members of the public to assist in tracing the suspect. The police also appealed to the suspect to surrender himself to the police.
In the meantime the victim’s next of kin have been informed.
