Young African Football Club continued with their seemingly unhindered dominance in the Southern Stream First Division (SSFD) when they delivered another inspiring performance to beat closest rivals Khomas Nampol 1-0, at the Legare Stadium in Gobabis on Saturday.

With Saturday’s victory, Young African further tightened their grip on proceedings at the summit of the SSFD as they remain top of the log on 27 points – putting a comfortable six-point gap between them and rivals Khomas Nampol, who are second on 21 points.

Young Brazilians, who managed to secure a 2-0 victory over Dates Eleven on Saturday, are currently sitting in 3rd place on 20 points, while Ramblers, who also recorded a 1-0 win against Windhoek United, are stationed in 4th place with 17 points.

Other Saturday results saw Hardap Boys cruise to a resounding 4-1 victory over Try Again, while Spoilers boosted their chances of finishing within the top-four come end of the season when they defeated Rebels by 4-1. Fifth-placed Blue Boys failed to secure a much-needed win over the weekend after playing to an uninspiring goalless draw against struggling Western Spurs.
