Unam, Magic and NamPol cruising in Super League

The University of Namibia (Unam) ladies football team, Unam Bokkies, is currently riding the crest of the wave in the national Women’s Super League, following Saturday’s 13-0 demolition of Omaheke at the NFA Technical Centre.
Four goals from Diina Shituula, two each from Ester Amukwaya and Ean Velikoshi and more goals from Helena Amutana, Stacey Naris, Limba Mupetami, Johanna Ludgerus, as well as an own goal by Omaheke ladies propelled the Clever Girls to a comfortable 13-0 victory. Shituula is the leading goal scorer with four goals to her name so far.

Tura Magic, currently sitting third on the log, also recorded a victory with a convincing 10-0 whitewash of Poly Babes at the same venue. The Magicians, boosted by a handful of Brave Gladiators regulars such as Zenatha Coleman, Thomalina Adams, Lovisa Mulunga to name but a few, got their goals from Mulunga, Elmarie Fredericks, Adams and Fransisca Hoabes, while Coleman and Memory Ngonda each scored three goals.

In other action at the same venue, Galz & Goals Elite Youth FC lost 3-1 to the 21-Brigade FC, while Khomas NamPol, are second on the log and proved too good for newcomers, Java Girls, as they recorded an emphatic 11-0 triumph. Okahandja Beauties humbled v-Power by 3-1, while Rehoboth beat Windhoek City Girls by 1-0.

Round 2 of the Women’s Super League resume on Thursday, October 1, at the NFA Technical Centre as Galz & Goals takes on Java-Java at 15h30 in the only match of the day before action resumes on Sunday at 08h40, with Khomas NamPol facing 21-Brigade at the same venue, while V-Power takes on Tura Magic at 15h10 on Sunday.
