Twenty-three-year old Steffi van Wyk (centre) from Otjiwarongo was crowned Miss Namibia 2015 during the 25th Miss Namibia beauty pageant at the Windhoek Country Club Resort and Casino on Saturday night. Van Wyk’s standout moment came during the interviews when she was asked what gift she would offer U.S. President Barack Obama, one of the most influential people in the world. She said she would give Obama and his family a week’s holiday in Namibia’s splendid wildlife resorts so that they could experience Namibia’s natural beauty. There is no better gift than a wonderful memory of time spent in Namibia, as it would last a lifetime, she said. Nineteen-year old Lyrischia Immanuellah from Okahandja (left) was crowned the first princess, while 20-year old Unongo Kutako from Okakarara was crowned second princess. Van Wyk will represent Namibia in the 2015 Miss Universe pageant scheduled to take place in China in December.
