The much anticipated Mr and Miss University of Namibia (Unam), Ogongo Campus 2015 is tomorrow.
Unam’s Ogongo Student Representative Council (SRC) Secretary for Information and Publicity, Abed Nangombe, has confirmed, saying up to eight beauties (girls) and seven gentlemen with self-confidence will be grazing the stage, battling against one another to compete for the two titles.
The event is organised by the University’s northern campus as a platform to encourage and motivate students who are willing to take their modeling talents to the next level. Nangombe invites beauty pageants lovers in Omusati region and nearby regions to attend the pageant in big numbers to witness the Ogongo campus beauties and handsome. Organisers intend a bigger event with artists such as The Dogg, Promise, Boet and others promising a major attraction on the night. “We have so many surprises during the event when it comes to different entertainment extravaganzas. The main aim of the event is to give students [who] have modeling dreams the opportunity to showcase their beauties and brains, as well as to grant them an opportunity to boost their self-confidence,” says Nangombe.
The winners of the event will take part in Mr and Miss Unam Main campus, which is set to take place later this year in the capital. The event is sponsored by Unam, Etuna Guesthouse & Tours CC, Etambi Bar and Bottle Store, MC Printing Shop, Ours Enterprises and LA-CAVE bar.
