Sanlam Namibia’s My Culture, My Life initiative – the financial company’s contribution towards the fight against the alarming number of cases of teenage pregnancy, rape, gender-based violence, alcohol and drug abuse, as well as cases of children disrespecting and mistreating their elders – was successfully launched in Omusati Region.
New Era Publications Corporation (NEPC) is a media partner of the initiative.
Local musicians Exit, Tunakie and Tequila formed part of the initiative’s roadshow to the traditional authorities at Ombadja, Ombalantu, Uukwaluudhi, Ongandjera and Uukolonkadhi. The artists also gave motivational speeches at schools in those areas.
The group further visited secondary schools of Mwaala, Onesi, Haudano and Shaanika Nashilongo, as well as Etayi Combined School. Here are some pictures from the events held in Omusati.
