Companies, schools, government institutions, NGOs and individual groups still have time to enter teams in the 2015 Bank Windhoek Corporate Challenge Relay, which is run in aid of welfare. The venue for the race is the Trustco
United Sport Club field in Olympia on July 25. “Although the closing date for entries was Monday July 13 we encourage late entries as we aim to raise as much funds as possible for the benefit of welfare organisations,” said Riaan van Rooyen, Head: Corporate Communication and Social Investment at Bank Windhoek. The aim of the challenge relay is to encourage teamwork and a healthy lifestyle, while also raise funds for welfare organisations.
Funds will be raised through the registration/entry fees of participants. Corporate companies, government
institutions, NGOs and individual groups are required to pay an entry fee of N$400, while school teams will pay N$200. Teams will consist of four members competing in the Men’s, Women’s, Mixed or School categories. Each
team member will walk or run 5km on a 20km route around the Trustco United Sport Club field. All participants will receive a finisher’s medal, while the winners in the different categories will receive a gold or silver medal.
