WINDHOEK– GOtv Subscribers will enjoy an extended line-up of music, news, business, technology and sports programming as they now have access to tune in on Energy 100FM and Radio wave on channels 302 and 301 on GOtv and GOtv Plus.
The first two local radio stations on GOtv were launched last week. “We are thrilled to launch the first two audio channels on the GOtv digital terrestrial television platform, with two extremely popular radio stations in Namibia. This is a great extension of the GOtv brand as our business is centered on great local and international entertainment, sports and lifestyle content for the whole family. It also speaks to our continued efforts to be pioneers in the digital space”, said Roger Gertze, General Manager of MultiChoice Namibia.
David Bishop, the Marketing and Promotions Manager at Radiowave, said that radio and TV would seem to be in direct competition but the partnership with MultiChoice Namibia has proven that it can. “Over the years, Radiowave and MultiChoice Namibia have built a very strong mutually beneficial relationship, which will undoubtedly get stronger with the inclusion of Radiowave on the GOtv platform. This is just the beginning and we wish to congratulate MultiChoice Namibia on its move towards the digital migration journey. As our partnership grows, we will continue to support them in their effort to enhance television viewing experiences in the homes of all Namibians. A new wave has dawned.” said Bishop.
“Energy 100FM has been on the DStv platform for over ten years and being the first youth radio station in Namibia, Energy 100FM is proud to be on the GOtv audio bouquet as this is a great opportunity to entertain and inform more people in and around Namibia,” said Jossy Ailonga, Energy 100FM Station Manager.
Radiowave is the number one adult contemporary music station in Namibia while Energy 100FM offers variety programming ranging from musical entertainment, local and international news, sports, business and technology.
