In an effort to eliminate unnecessary accidents and make roads safe, eight public transport drivers were trained in defensive driving skills with the help of the Motor Vehicle Accident Fund last week.
The training that was conducted by professionals from a driving academy covered defensive driving, fatigue and tiredness management, specific driving conditions, traffic regulations and practical driving techniques.
Speaking at the conclusion of the training, the managing director of EMS driving academy, Louis Conradie, said he was confident that the training has the capacity of creating road safety awareness among drivers.
Conradie also stressed the importance of having drivers, who will contribute towards safer roads.??????’?????’?????????????
