A German basketball expert, Frank Albin, has just arrived in Namibia for a period of three months to conduct training courses for coaches and teachers, it was announced by the embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany.
His visit to the country is financially made possible by the sports promotion programme of the German Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Albin will hold basketball clinics in Windhoek, Rehoboth, Swakopmund, Walvis Bay and Omaruru.
The courses aim at, amongst others, the training of coaches and teachers and the support for the establishment of sport structures.
At the end of the training programme, a donation of basketball equipment, made available by the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will be handed over to Namibian partners.
