Re: Disillusioned by Swapo Promises

Please allow me some space in your newspaper to air my disillusionment with the SWAPO Party Government with regard to education and training.

Came independence elections in 1989, I regrettably voted DTA and also regrettably informed my workers to vote for DTA. Then came the elections in 1994, thankful for all the positive achievements by SWAPO, especially the establishment of constitutional institutions ensuring checks and balances for a working multi-party democracy, I have been voting for the SWAPO Party.

I also did encourage my workers, who actually are the ones to have reawakened me to vote SWAPO. In this regard, I also thank the courageous efforts of Councillor Barakias Namwandi that motivated me, but it was actually the hardworking Governor of the Hardap Region, Mrs Katrina Hanse (Himarwa) who actually welcomed me in the Mariental Rural constituency.

It is regrettable that some newspapers do not want to witness her positive work in her constituency but keep on focusing on the negative aspects of her reign as Governor. Well, that’s not the focus of my writing today.
