WIDHOEK – The Cell One Road to Fame Erongo Regional Finals were held in Walvis Bay and Swakopmund, culminating in a nail-biting event at Dolphin Park on December 23.
With so much talent on display, the judges had a tough time deciding who goes through to represent the region. But in the end Frederika Fredericks from Swakopmund was crowned the Cell One Road to Fame Erongo Regional finalist.
With nine regional finalists chosen so far, the Cell One activation crew will be back on the road in the New Year to discover more talent in the rest of the regions.
During the “Sunday Funday” on December 23, the crowd grew steadily and with a packed Dolphin Park were blessed with blue skies and sunshine on the Cell One Road to Fame crew’s backs.
As has become customary at the “Sunday Fundays” the crowds were entertained by Namibia’s top performers and Dolphin Park was no different. Cell One again welcomed back onto their mobile stage Sonny Boy, Black Shades and Jericho.
Ivar Talmoen, Cell One’s Chief Marketing Officer, said: “The Cell One Road to Fame project presents a unique opportunity for young Namibian singers to showcase their talent and Cell One is proud to have been able to create this exciting platform. We are overwhelmed by the interest shown by the musicians and the public at large and look forward to an exciting finale when the winners from all 13 regions will battle it out for the top spot.”
