Stark differences exist between earnings of executive directors and ordinary workers in the country.
According to the Namibian Wage Bargaining Report 2006, in which a comparison of what directors and ordinary workers earn is made, it would take 48 years for an ordinary worker to get to what an executive director earns in a year.
The report was published by the Labour Resource and Resource Institute (LaRRI) as part of a project in which LaRRI looks at the wage developments in Namibia since two years ago.
The findings indicate that the minimum wage of an ordinary worker in 2006 was N$24??????’??
