Forty-five part-time lecturers in the National Extension Programme of the College of the Arts from around the country converge at the Katutura Community Arts Centre on Tuesday for a strategic planning workshop.
The Director of Arts in the Ministry of Youth, National Service, Sport and Culture, Retha-Louise Hofmeyr will officially open the four-day workshop, financed by the Franco-Namibia Cultural Centre. Sam Geiseb will facilitate the workshop.
Department head, Lucky Pieters said, “Though the biggest department in the College of the Arts, most of the programme’s staff members are spread around the country, creating many challenges to manage this department.”
Pieters was appointed in August to replace Sharon Cagnetta, who was found guilty of embezzlement of more than N$40ǟ
