President Hifikepunye Pohamba and Founding President, Sam Nujoma, among others, will unveil the memorial shrine at Eenhana on Heroes’ Day after the reburial earlier the same day of the human remains discovered about two years ago there.
The shrine depicts the history of the liberation struggle and acknowledges the courage of the People’s Liberation Army of Namibia (PLAN) combatants and civilians who supported them at the town of Eenhana in the Ohangwena Region on Heroes’ Day. The memorial shrine is a few metres from the site where humans remains were found in 2005.
