Santam Namibia Takes Over Inscon

By Staff Reporter WINDHOEK Riaan Louw, Chief Executive of Santam Namibia has announced that Santam has taken over all active policies of Inscon Insurance as of July 1, 2007. This announcement follows the recent placement of Inscon under curatorship. “This take-over is an exciting development for Santam Namibia as well as existing Inscon policy-holders in that after several months of uncertainty they can now be assured of continuity as well as enjoy the high standard of service and security which Santam offers. “Santam Namibia has been operating in Namibia for more than 50 years, and our footprint of brokers and offices across the country is testimony to our commitment.” Simon Steyn, Inscon’s appointed curator said: “An agreement was reached between Santam and the curators after lengthy discussions. The discussions were positive and the Santam management team is geared to assist policy-holders. “All policy-holders will in due course be receiving a Santam policy schedule. All Personal and Commercial policy-holders can report claims, occurring on or after July 1, 2007, directly to Santam Windhoek or preferably to their brokers.” Louw continued: “All Santam Namibia staff and brokers look forward to building new relationships with Inscon clients. The company value of Santam clearly identifies client service as an area on which Santam staff and brokers pride themselves and no leniency or waiver is tolerated”. For people who own Legal Challenge policies, Franco Feris, Chief Operations Officer of Santam Namibia, says these members will now be able to enjoy the high level of service for which Santam Namibia is so well known. “Santam Namibia is pleased and excited to now offer the existing high level of service to Legal Challenge members. During the past few weeks there has been some uncertainty, and Legal Challenge members can now rest assured that their policies will continue and that they can enjoy even better cover than what they agreed to,” he said. Simon Steyn said: “After an agreement was reached for Santam Namibia to take over the Inscon Namibia policies, it went without saying that Legal Challenge members too, would enjoy the same service through the various offices and brokers of Santam Namibia.”
