The NCCI has called on SMEs from all sectors of the economy to participate in its inaugural SMEs Development Conference taking place in Windhoek today.
The NCCI said in a media release yesterday that the official launch of the new SME Business Toolkit would precede the conference.
The SME Business Toolkit project is the result of a partnership between the NCCI, Standard Bank Namibia and the Association of SADC Chambers of Commerce & Industry (ASCCI).
Trade and Industry Minister Immanuel Ngatjizeko will officially launch the event which organizers expect to attract over 100 business people from the SME sector, SME service providers and other stakeholders.
At a press briefing earlier in the week, NCCI Chief Executive, Tarah Shaanika, said the SME Toolkit is a regional SME development programme started by ASCCI and its member chambers in October 2006.
The NCCI/Standard Bank Toolkit was, however, adapted to the Namibian legislative and business environment in preparation for its local launch.
