OSHAKATI - Tomorrowu night the Oshakati resident artist, Boet, will launched his debut 19- track album titled, History at Oshakati’s Club Tipsy.
Boet, aka Jonas Mungungu Paulus, is an energetic Kwaito, Hip Hop and dancehall artist, that will and has already contributed to the Namibian music industry. Under the management of Certified Entertainment and Chikiza Media group, with his mate Trap Star, a hip hop and RnB recording artist, Boet came into sight on the music industry in 2010 while still in high school. He used to perform at WiFi radios with friends for free to promote himself, where he gain some knowledge and experiences. “At that time, is when I met Ndexland, my first producer and he introduced me to a couple of producers like Channo (DJ Problem), Pexton Shatimwene (Pmp records), Cash Beats, and my designer and photographer, Chikiza Media Group, that shoot my single first video titled My life,” he says.
His debut album featured artists like Tokolos, Addie-No Mercy, Chakalas, Amazonkies, New 1 and Miss Gorgeous. International artists who featured on the album are Raul De Castro from Angola and Stengwera from Zambia. The album consists of party songs, traditional songs and hardcore Kwaito songs. Hit songs on the album are My life and Namba Wanu (Number One). Boet also launches his clothing line with items such as T-Shirts, caps, tops and jeans trousers. “ The programme is going according to the plans, meaning everything is well organised and I just hope people will come in numbers to support me, CDs will also be on sale,” says Boet.
Tickets are N$ 15 at the doors each and the doors open at seven O’clock (19h00). The performances are featuring Amazonkies, Trap star, Dirty Fruits, Mbuku, Young Peace, Ndexland, Brainwave, Sexy Killers, Orizza, Daredevil, Miss Gorgeous, The horse, Chip-pa, Addie No Mercy, Chikka sweet cool family, Fix-lam, Kush Gang, Tropical Fresh, Young jive and many more upcoming artists.
