WINDHOEK – Come this Saturday, new champions will be crowned in the Bank Windhoek Fistball League when the final matches for the 2012 season take place at the DTS soccer fields.

The games start at 8h30, when Cohen FC 2 and Swakopmund SFC 1 confront each other in a match that will determine the first participant for the third and fourth place play-offs of the Bank Windhoek National A League later in the day. The second match of the day promises to be a humdinger as SKW 2 and Cohen FC 1 clash in a game that will see the winner qualify for the championship final, while the loser will move on to play in the third place play-off.

Cohen FC 1 have not won a game against SKW 2 this season, but there have been some close encounters recently. SKW 2 barely managed to keep a clean sheet, only managing a 4-3 win during the third round of league games.
The team that makes it to the final will meet SKW 1. The SKW players have their sights firmly set on winning the Bank Windhoek National A League, since the winning team will be allowed to play at the World Club Championships, which will be held in Namibia next year.

The continental champions from South America and Europe will also participate in that event.
While the teams of the Bank Windhoek National B League may not have a qualification for an international event in their sights, they still remain highly motivated nonetheless.

Defending champions Cohen FC 3 have already qualified for the final of the championship. They will face either SKW 3 or SFC 2.
Both teams are expected to be evenly matched and spectators can expect a thrilling encounter between the two. While the winner will be able to challenge Cohen FC 3 for the winner’s medal, the loser will come up in a play-off match for third spot.
