WINDHOEK - The Namibia Rugby Union’s (NRU) national sevens rugby team will represent the country in a preparatory sevens tournament in Middelburg, South Africa, starting tomorrow.
The preparatory sevens tournament in Middelburg will conclude on September 23, and will serve as preparation for the CAR Tournament in Morocco.

The following provisional squad members have been recommended to the NRU for inclusion and approval to represent Namibia as national 7’s players.

Meanwhile, NRU President Bradley Basson has given the team the thumbs up saying that after scrutiny he is satisfied the selected players have met the criteria for selection by the NRU.

However, the Namibian rugby supremo made it categorically clear the final squad is still subject to the criteria of the Sports Commission, more specifically the Namibia Sport Act, before they can be finally recommended for national colours.
