WINDHOEK-The 4 Engene, the duo group of Kambungu and Jukka are presently searching for a new manager and some sponsorship to help them release their third new album titled, Kokule.
(Four) 4 Engene want this year to stabilise hence they see as the album they are planning as the right vehicle towards this end.
The album Kokule means but that may be misleading as the album, despite them looking for sponsoriship and a manager, is in advanced stage and can be expected to be out soonest.
Owners of the group Kambungu and Jukka seem ready and more prepared than before to surprise music fans. Kambungu says due to financial problems, its difficult for them to deliver their messages through their songs, that’s why they are searching “for a very serious manager” to help them with the management, and sponsors for their singles, promotion and for the album.
They have two singles Eehombo and Kalamwenyo, which will soon be heard on airwaves on local radio stations and televisions. They worked on this with the Namibia Annual Music Awards (Namas) 2012 Producer and Artist Mushe, and the single are featuring BO2 from Eenhana.
Kambungu informs that they debut with the album Etumwalaka in 2008 to which many fans responded well. Kokule will be their third album.
They sing about life in general. Jukka adds that since starting singing, they have been managing themselves, which has not been an easy thing in view of the financial crisis they have been experiencing. As result the promotion of their albums has been weak let alone performing live.
This year they have only performed at the Eenhana Trade Fair and Expo. “Despite poor management the crowd responded positively and this shows they like our own bread and we don’t get anything from them.
We kneel down to the public for any new management assistance and more assistance as far music is concerned,” he says and thanks all the Namibian people for their support toward their music over the pasts years. Any interested manager can contact them at this number: 081 3115309 and 0818547778.
