WINDHOEK - The new Turkish Ambassador to Namibia Murat Ahmet Yoruk, and the Indonesian Ambassador to Namibia, Augustinus Sumartono, paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Trade and Industry Hage Geingob yesterday.
Ambassador Sumartono says he would make it his mission to boost trade relationship between Namibia and Indonesia. Trade volumes between the two countries have dropped by as much as 60 percent, between 2009 and 2010, from more than US$3,6 million (N$30 million) to about US$1,3 million (N$10,1 million).
“We should find a way to solve this problem,” said Ambassador Sumartono. The new Indonesian Ambassador would also use his term to boost small and medium enterprises development in the country, drawing from the Indonesian experience.
