WINDHOEK - Windhoek-based Concordia College and Delta Secondary School were involved in some intriguing action on the football field in the FNB Classic Clashes, in Windhoek, recently.
Concordia won the tie by 4 goals to 1 last Friday, with Toes Tinda grabbing a well-deserved hat trick brace, while Isak Mujambere completed the riot with a goal of his own. Melton Mowa pulled back a consolation goal for Delta Secondary School, leaving Delta’s shot stopper Andy Balzer to pick up the Man of the Match award despite his team being on the receiving end.
Coach Ananias Samma Kashindi of the Concordia team was a happy man after his team’s runaway victory. “We were well prepared and from numerous previous games were well aware of the weak points of our opponents, so we managed to work on those weaknesses which brought us the victory.”
He added that they were proud of being part of the FNB Classic Clashes and that his team hopes to remain a part of this great sporting concept for many years to come.
“Supporters of Concordia College were in full force last Friday and their cheers certainly also gave our team even more momentum to win. We thank them for joining us on the football field,” said Kashindi.
