WINDHOEK - Business and pleasure merge effortlessly at Thule Hotel in Windhoek, while it at the same time offers a chance to live on the edge when you are there.
Living on the edge has for some people become an adrenalin adventure but at the hilltop Thule Hotel, where the restaurant is literally built on the edge of a rock, it takes you down to a quiet valley below.
If you, as the customer, find yourself at “On the Edge” in this unique setting, you surely will enjoy nature’s beauty, gifts of superb customer service, exquisite cuisine – and you might wish to give wings to your dreams while ‘whisking’ your time away.
New Era recently visited this unique place during the lunch-hour and was informed by Cynthia Damon, one of the managers, that, “living on the edge…you’ll never see the view which summarises the unique location of the restaurant”.
According to manager Wolfgang Balzer, the new restaurant “On the Edge” came into operation a few weeks ago and boasts a new menu for both the Terrace and a special ‘A la Carte’ side which can be obtained on enquiry.
He informed New Era that all main courses include a salad and a homemade bread, while every Wednesday, a new weekly special menu is introduced.
The start of the day goes with a breakfast that includes its unique buffet with fresh pastries and croissant.
With its sweeping views across Ludwigsdorf and the mountains beyond, Thule Hotel has become a select accommodation establishment for international clientele.
According to Nordic legend, Thule is a mythical place which exists at the frontier of reality - the edge of the world, the place where the real and the imaginary touch. Lunch on the Terrace includes a ‘Light Lunch Menu’ while dinner offers a ‘A la Carte’ menu that include starters, a main course and dessert.
At dusk, customers can enjoy a well-deserved drink at the Sundowner Bar while taking in the breathtaking site of a Namibian sunset.
Thule Hotel also host conferences, parties or weddings with its state-of-the-art facilities. Damon said; “If you need soothing, relax at our pool or in your room with satellite television and allow our full restaurant and bar to cater to your most sumptuous expectations. And if you simply cannot disconnect with a 360-degree view of Windhoek, Wi-Fi is available 24 hours.”
So if you are in Windhoek go high up on a hill above the city where the free winds blow and far horizons beckon. This is unique at Thule Hotel that offers unsurpassed mountain views, an exclusive getaway and warm hospitality. It offers the relaxing pleasures of a remote country estate.
Hotel Thule is supported by the Kareeboo Consulting Group, that identified the need to present to the local market the splendour of their smart restaurant, called “On the Edge”.
