Tribalism or what? Go figure!

FIRST and foremost allow me as a patriot to present my concerns as follows:

The regional leadership in both SPYL and the mother body lacks ability to coordinate or deliberately withholds information from other comrades. This is done in order to allow manipulation of restructuring of all party structures in the Caprivi Region to suit certain sinister agendas.

The party headquarters sends directives that are not communicated to relevant structures in the region, which in turn allows for manipulation. It is of great importance that all districts in the region have access to correct information at all times as required by the party headquarters and unfortunately that has not been the case.

The Regional Coordinator and some District Coordinators at the mother body level have been involved in the deliberate dissemination of wrong information to both SPYL regional structures and to the head office. Unfortunately, it is based on all this wrong information that some decisions were taken.

We were told Katima Rural has 20 branches, one group used 15 branches 9 out of those were legitimate and the other 6 were illegitimate. On the other hand, another group used 12 all legitimate. But then those with the authority to send reports to headquarters did not give reports as required, but used their influence to their own benefit and interest.

Those who came to oversee the election process were the right people to do so. Unfortunately very little consultation was done before such elections could take place. So, most of those who constituted the districts represented were not legitimate delegates. Katima Rural for example had people picked up from nowhere just to get the numbers.

In the year 2010, when the current Councilor was nominated by the party there was a clear directive as to which branches to use in Katima Rural, one does not understand why the Regional Coordinator claims he is not clear as to which ones are legitimate.

The tribal issue being raised is not true, it is just an ruse by a certain group of political opportunists looking for sympathy in wrong places. From the mother body’s side the following have been coordinators of the party in the region:

The late Mr George Bupilo (Mufwe)
Hon Doreen Siyoka  (Mufwe)
The Late Mr Ernest Likando (Musubia)
Linus Kani (Musubia)
Florence Simayumbulwa (Musubia)
Mr Ignatius Nkunga  (Mufwe)
The Acting Regional Coordinator Mr Linus Mafale (Mufwe)

With the above facts, why should it be said the Masubias don’t want the Mafwes to run the affairs of the party today. We have facts that most of the districts that claim they are not considered for positions were in any case in the hands of the opposition parties, so they could not be given Swapo Party positions while carrying DTA or RDP cards.

The current list of Katima Rural from one group has for example names like Risco Lumamezi as a delegate to the Regional Conference. This is the Editor of Caprivi Vision, who does not know what this newspaper has been advocating for all along.
