A fresh breeze has blown into the Namibian Motorsport Federation (NMSF), with the selection of a new committee last week, when the NMSF council and all the delegates from the various Motorsport Clubs attended the AGM at the Tony Rust Club House.

After a unanimous vote all round, the longstanding motor sport official Frikkie Roelofse took the seat as the new reigning President of the NMSF. Roelofse comes with vast knowledge of the rules and regulations of Namibian Motorsport, and has in previous years served on the NMSF committee and has been welcomed as an attribute to the sport.

Another name in motor sport that carries a lot of weight, both as a competitor and events officiator is Ernest Thatcher, who was voted in as Secretary-General of the NMSF.

The new NMSF Treasurer is Bradley Ferreira who hails from Rehoboth Motor Club, and is well-known in the drag racing circles.

Vice President of Motoring Harald Lingner is one of the highest graded officials in Namibian motorsport, and has been the main organiser behind the Total Tara Rally for the past five years.

Vice President Motorcycles is Kai Hohmeier, is the main man behind the Enduro and Moto-X scene.

The official handing over of the office is scheduled for the 27 June, when new committee will receive all documentation from the previous committee.
