WINDHOEK- Namibia’s former World Boxing Association (WBA) lightweight champion Paulus “ The Hitman” Moses recently paid a courtesy call on Namibia’s Founding President Sam Nujoma, to ask for his blessings and good wishes ahead of his crucial World Boxing Organization (WBO) lightweight world title fight against Scottish opponent Rickey Burns, on March 10 in Scotland.

Blessings all over … Vice-chairman of the Nestor “Sunshine” Tobias Boxing & Fitness Academy, Malakia Elindi, Paulus “The Hitman” Moses, Sam Nujoma and Nestor “Sunshine” Tobias, during the ceremony in Windhoek last Friday.

Award-wining boxing promoter and Hitman’s trainer, Nestor “Sunshine” Tobias thanked Nujoma for once again accepting them and for always being able to take time out of his busy schedule to attend to their calls.

“This is a very important fight and also a big opportunity for Hitman to become a world champion again - that’s why we are seeking  the founding father’s blessings and guidance because Hitman is faced with a daunting task and I’m confident he will bring the title home, if the whole nation rallies behind him,” said Tobias.

In his short speech, Nujoma encouraged Hitman to train harder as he has a huge task to fulfill.
“It is very important that you continue to inspire the youth and upcoming boxer as well, and to always give this revolutionary example that Namibia has produced and is still home to world class boxers.”

“You must prepare adequately and make sure you knock out (KO) your opponent in the 5th or 6th round, before you get tired,” joked Nujoma.

The real McCoy himself, The Hitman, auusred the public that he is up and ready to rumble and would bring the title home.

“I call myself a very lucky person, because this is the second time I’m fighting for a world title, but nothing comes easy, that’s why I need to work hard and give it my all if I’m to bring the title home,” said Hitman.
