WINDHOEK - First National Bank of Namibia announced the 18 double ticket winners of the 3rd round of its 2010 FIFA World CupTM campaign during a special function in Windhoek, earlier this week.
The campaign was launched in February this year and a total of 180 single tickets or 90 couples have been set aside. The tickets are up for grabs through to the finals of the 2010 FIFA World CupTM. Group CEO Vekuii Rukoro was on hand to hand over soccer balls and tickets to deserved winners of the 3rd round. “Sport, and more specifically football, can be described as one of our national passions, a recreational activity that somehow has become symbolic of our national character.” He said the best part of this competition is the fact that participants don’t even have to do a lot. All they need is to simply have an FNB Visa Debit or FNB Visa Credit card that is active and in good standing. “You can also open a FNB Visa Debit or FNB Visa Credit card and the more you use your FNB Visa Debit or Credit card, the more goals you score and the greater the chance to become a winner.” Rukoro urged all FNB customers to use their cards frequently during the upcoming festive season in order to score more goals, thereby increasing their chances to win. “Football is the biggest sport in Africa and it brings people from different cultures and nations together, therefore contributing towards nation building – be it on a national or international level. You have heard that one of the improvement areas of Vision 2030 is that of health and development and what better way to also promote health than through sport.” During the coming festive season, FNB customers will have ample opportunities to use their cards and thus be eligible to win during the next two rounds, which will take place in 2010.
