WINDHOEK - The winwingroup, one of Namibia's largest advertising and communication consultancies, has again proven that with a great team, careful planning and lots of enthusiasm they can bring a town together.
This was proven as the teams of the winwingroup's Event Planning and Activation departments took to the south and spent time in Keetmanshoop for the launch of the Karas Development Trust recently. The event started off with a street parade with almost 200 school children parading with Karas Development Trust banners to the park opposite the police station. There they were entertained by the winwingroup's highly skilled stilt walkers, jugglers, clowns and dancers. At about 14h00, the crews packed up and moved onto the Keetmanshoop Stadium in preparation for the evening's gala event. Launched in Lüderitz last year, the Karas Development Trust held its second gala dinner also on Friday 20 March in Keetmanshoop. The Head of State Hifikepunye Pohamba, and First Lady Penehupifo Pohamba along with various other ministers, various members of the diplomatic corps together with 350 regional councillors, community and traditional leaders, VIP's, businesspeople and other invited guests attended the prestigious event. The winwingroup was appointed to oversee all the Karas Development Trust gala dinner event logistics, State House protocol and security arrangements, managing the catering committee of local chefs, the selling of tables, the sourcing of pledges, all catering and refreshment arrangements and providing on-the-ground event management services on the evening. With a crew of 22 people, thewinwingroup's event management crews transformed the Keetmanshoop Stadium hall into a blue and white themed venue, which was decked out for the 350 special guests. Speaking at the event, Saul Kahuika, Chief Executive Officer of the Karas Regional Council said: "The success of the gala event and town fun day would not have been possible without the professionalism and energy of thewinwingroup teams. From the onset we were confident that thewinwingroup would rise to the challenge and together with the Karas Regional Council staff and their teams we were able to raise in excess of N$640 000 for the trust." Beverly Jandrell-Uren, Director of thewinwingroup said: "Being granted the opportunity to be part of this event is an honour for everyone at thewinwingroup and the fact that we were able to make a measurable difference to the evening, again highlights the unique talents and service offerings of thewinwingroup."
