WINDHOEK-Crucial Productions in collaboration Base FM and Tulonga Irie present Bob Marley commemoration gig tonight May 9 at the La Marmite Restaurant.

Situated along Independence Avenue opposite Pupkewitz Honda and Tre Supermarket in the city center La Marmite Restaurant is the place to be for the Reggae fan and everyone that love good performance.

According to Crucially Crucial the event organizer, May11 is a day almost all conscious roots rock Reggae fans worldwide commemorate annually, as Robert Nesta Marley commonly known as Bob Marley, a Jamaican singer-songwriter and musician passed away that day in 1981.

“To commemorate Marley this year, which is the 33 massive Reggae session comprising of not only Marley’s music but a fine blend of Roots, Riddims, Loversrock and Dancehall featuring Selektas Max, I Free and Crucially Crucial together with performances by BantusanFari Dread and RasMombe will make memorable event,” said Crucial.

He said they choose to do this show as Reggae music is being left out in Namibia and they want to keep pushing for it to be reorganized and loved by many also.

Marley remains the most widely known and revered performer of reggae music, and is credited with helping spread both Jamaican music and the Rastafari movement to a worldwide audience. “Bob Marley’s universal appeal, impact on music history and role as a social and political prophet is both unique and unparalleled,” he said.

“Come in number as we will not disappoint you, performance will start at 18h00 till late and N$30 will get you in,” says Crucial.
